Admission Policy

Admission to Springfield is granted on merit, with each applicant considered according to the requirements of the class or grade for which admission is sought. As part of maintaining accurate student records and safeguarding the interests of every child, admission cannot be granted without valid proof of identity. Acceptable documentation includes a B-Form, birth certificate, passport or Smart Card, as applicable.

Family Communication

All matters concerning a student’s admission, campus or school affairs are to be discussed directly with the student’s parents. Springfield will communicate only with the parents in such matters, both during the admission process and after admission. Relatives, family friends or any other person connected to the parents will not be permitted to communicate or act on their behalf unless they are legally authorised to do so.

Where a parent is unable to deal with the school because of their absence, passing, or because they are not residing in the city or country, the person acting on their behalf must provide valid legal documentation establishing guardianship or lawful authority. Once the relevant documentation has been verified, only the authorised guardian will be permitted to communicate with the school and undertake matters relating to the student on the parent’s behalf.

This policy is intended to ensure that communication remains clear, records remain accurate and decisions concerning each student are handled only by the individuals legally responsible for them.
