The Islamiyat Department at Springfield Public School & College recognises the central role of faith in shaping a student’s identity, values, and understanding of the world. As Islam forms an integral part of our students’ lives, the department is committed to developing a meaningful understanding of Islamic teachings, principles, and traditions through a thoughtfully designed curriculum. By exploring the teachings of the Qur’an, the life and example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the ethical foundations of Islam, students are encouraged to develop a deeper appreciation of their faith and its relevance in contemporary life.
The department aims to nurture individuals who are guided by strong moral values and a sense of responsibility towards themselves and others.
Through reflection, discussion, and learning experiences, students are encouraged to understand how Islamic principles translate into everyday actions.
Students learn how faith can guide their relationships, decisions, and interactions with others in a thoughtful and responsible manner.
By fostering qualities such as compassion, honesty, respect, humility, and service, the department contributes to the development of well-rounded individuals.
Students are encouraged to be confident in their identity and committed to making positive contributions to their communities and the wider world.
