Introduction Our Campus

Early Years Department

The Early Years Department at Springfield Public School & College is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring foundation for lifelong learning. Recognising that the early years are among the most important stages in a child’s development, the department focuses on fostering curiosity, confidence, independence, creativity, and a positive attitude towards learning. Through a carefully planned and age-appropriate curriculum, young learners are encouraged to explore their surroundings, develop essential skills, express themselves freely, and build the foundations necessary for future academic and personal growth.

A Bespoke Approach to Early Education

The department has developed its own bespoke learning resources and copy sets, thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs and learning abilities of Springfield’s youngest learners. Drawing upon insights from diverse educational philosophies and approaches, the department has created a balanced model that combines the best practices from different schools of thought while remaining responsive to Springfield’s unique learning environment. Through meaningful activities, structured guidance, and opportunities for exploration and creativity, the Early Years Department nurtures confident, capable, and enthusiastic learners from the very beginning of their educational journey.
